Hello! I'm Keerthan.

I am currently pursuing MS in Computer Vision from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. At CMU, I am focusing on 3D vision and generative AI. For the summer, I'm interning at PlusAI as a computer vision research engineer in the perception team.

Previously I worked as a senior engineer in the advanced research group at Samsung Research, Bangalore. I developed deep learning models for fine-grained classification and unsupervised clustering which were deployed as AI features in Samsung smartphones globally. Before this, I worked on building pipelines for constructing large-scale video datasets, on-device action recognition models and AI-based in-loop filters to improve video compression efficiency.

I graduated with a B.E. in Computer Science from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore in 2020. For my thesis, I worked on depth completion & upscaling of images from time-of-flight sensors in collaboration with Samsung. After college, I interned at a deep-tech startup, Curl Analytics and during summer breaks in college, I interned at Samsung and ZoomTail technologies.

If you can't find me building cool tech, you will find me either trying to nutmeg someone on a football field, trekking serene mountains or deeply engrossed in a non-fiction book.
